this is a good starting case

considering we've got all the 'characters' introduced already in part1... it has to be a surprise 'guest'... like the lady who showed up for no particular reason, twice. or something/somebody that is an unreliable narrator. the burglar might be lying, but i doubt it. the daughter and the wife split up sometime that day and didn't meet up till well after the murder. the son's exact location is unknown. other than the son's 'friends' who tried to extort the future husband of the sister... nothing else really springs forwards in my mind.

there's about 7 cases out of the near 1000 episodes that Mouri the Moron has solved without Conan using the knockout needle. thing is, Conan (or somebody else) had to lead Mouri around by the nose the whole time for each one.
